Blasters Registration NOW OPEN for 2024/2025 season.

Blasters Cricket is an entry level cricket for boys and girls aged 5 to 9 years. The season is nine sessions starting Friday 8 November.

Sessions run on a Friday afternoon from 5.00pm to 6.15pm where plastic equipment is used for skills across batting, bowling and fielding. Sessions conclude with small sided games. 

Kids are encouraged to come along and have fun with their mates. BBQ available after the session.

Bonbeach YCW Cricket Club is proud to run one of the largest and inclusive entry level programs in the region. This saw the club awarded second place in Victoria for season 2018/2019 being recognised in the "Best Entry Level Cricket Program" category by Cricket Victoria.

Sponsored by Woolworths, two Blaster programs operate at Bonbeach YCW to cater for children aged 5 to 10 years of age. Both programs supply all equipment with sessions taking place on a Friday afternoon from 5pm at Bonbeach Sports Ground - Oval 1 (Cannes Avenue, Bonbeach).

Junior Blasters - a weekly 60 minute session running for 8 weeks through November 2024 to February 2025.  Designed for kids from ages 5 to 7 of all abilities where they will enjoy fun and exciting game based activities. Focus is on having fun, meeting new friends and being part of a squad. First session starts ** November 8 @ 5.30pm.

Master Blasters - a weekly 90 minute sessions running for 10 weeks through October 2024 to February 2025. Designed for kids from ages 7 to 10 of all abilities who enjoy short games of cricket in a fun and social setting. In addition, participants have the option to also play against other local Master Blaster teams for Bonbeach YCW Cricket Club on a Saturday morning at 9am

Q  How old does my child have to be to start playing Blasters Cricket?

A   Woolworths Cricket Blast is an action-packed program for Australian kids between the ages of 5 & 10 of all abilities who want to learn the basic skills of cricket.

Q When does the season start? 

A  Junior cricket competition is scheduled to begin on and around 15 October 2023 depending on the Stage and Division your child will play in.  
The last games of the year will be held before Christmas on 15-17 December 2023 (depending on which day your division plays).
